A former mill town in what is now known as Connecticut's Quiet Corner, Killingly has the largest school district in northeastern Connecticut. Our community is located about 15 miles south of Massachusetts on the Rhode Island border. Major access is through Interstate 395, which runs north to south through the western side of Town.
Killingly schools enroll approximately 3,000 students, PreK – 12: Goodyear Early Childhood Center in Rogers houses both pre-school classes and the family resource center. Two elementary schools, Killingly Central in Dayville and Killingly Memorial in Danielson, serve grades K-4. Our middle school, Killingly Intermediate, in Dayville serves grades 5-8. Secondary programs (9-12) are located at Killingly High School and the Alternate Learning Center, both in Danielson.
Our schools share a long history of service to the community. Through consistent family and Town support Killingly schools and their students have developed respected records of success in the fields of music, media, vocational agriculture, technology, multicultural education, and sports. We are proud, as well, of our strong partnership with Quinebaug Valley Community College and the opportunities that this collaboration has provided for our students.
